Gary Doupnik Manufacturing was founded in 1976 when Gary Sr. moved the family from the San Francisco Bay Area to the foothills of Loomis, California. Here, he purchased a mobile-home plant and switched production over to modular housing -- just in time for the late 70s housing slump. Years of experience in other businesses had taught Gary to stay nimble. He quickly switched to commercial construction. He took customer service to extreme levels, eliminating "salesmen" and making the entire staff responsible for commission-free sales. He offered true custom design options, creating exciting structures that other builders had rejected as too difficult or costly. We're happy to say that success was immediate. Gary Doupnik Manufacturing, Inc. is now one of the most respected names in modular construction, and is the largest employer in Loomis. In 1998, Gary Sr. decided it was time to step back, relax a little, and let his children run the business. They've all been deeply involved with the company since its inception, and handle areas that fit their expertise: Sherrie: The only daughter is president of the company, and controls the day-to-day operations. Gary, Jr.: The eldest son oversees shipping, installation, service, and outside subcontractors. Kirtus: Handles customer relations, safety and metal fabrication. J.T.: The youngest son works with DSA (Division of the State Architect), and oversees the Drafting and Engineering Department. Betty (Mom): Continues to run the Human Resources Department, just as she has since the company's inception. Gary Sr. (Dad): Continues to be involved with the company as an advisor and consultant, and remains on the Board of Directors as Chairman. Sincerely, The Doupnik Family Interested in a tour of our factory? Call us at 916 652-9291, or drop us an e-mail , and well be happy to set one up! |
